After a great BBQ turnout, I pulled an all nighter to get some work wrapped up so I could finally get out of the office and do what I really love, rip some streamers! Fishing on Varney to Ennis was pretty slow, but early AM before the sun was completely on the water was best with a few swipes and this decent 19" brown - check the snout on that bad boy - fell for this nice little streamer I've been tying up on a 3/0 Gamakatsu Jig Hook with a 3/0 trailer (it's got a nice movement in the water). The only unfortunate thing was the rest of the day was uneventful until I started ripping my best impressi
on of a jointed Rapala on a fly rod, stop in and ask about this one... Overall streamer fishing not what should be expected right now, can't wait till the Jellystone drops and clears a little, game on!
